Most people love Bingo but they have no idea how the game began. At that time, it was popular as Lotto. It did not last in that place only as its fame spread to France and was accepted by the majority except for a few like the Christian converts. Historical facts indicate that the most notable play of this game was in a carnival in Georgia. As the game proceeded, Edwin Lowe, a toy salesperson, heard one of players call out Bingo instead of beano. This excited him and increased his love for the game such that he asked a Professor, Carl Leffler, to assist him in altering the game to feature card combinations that would increase the players' chances of winning. A year later, a priest from a Pennsylvanian church sought the services of Lowe in a bid to this game to raise funds for the church. This resulted into an overwhelming acceptance of the game and it became a hobby for many.

The salesman adaptation of Bingo had two variations. One had a set of 12 cards for $ 1 while the other had 24 cards for $ 2. By 1935, the game was accepted all over and it has undergone various innovative ventures since then. Currently, it is available online and players do not have to visit halls.
